A northern lapwing feeds on a sand worm, subject matter requested by the client. Black slate backing frames the image, with a painted wooden frame lending more contrast. Perfect to hang on the wall or set on an easel.

Lining green stone from India was chosen for its fluid texture, with three pieces of stone being fitted carefully together to mimic the texture of the water. Africano stone makes up the lapwing’s body, beautifully depicting the bird’s plumage.
